Guestbook for James H. Hazlett Showing 1 - 5 of 5 entries.

Our dad often shared hunting stories that he and Jim had taken over the years (some barely related to the hunting aspect!). And his visits to our home were quite memorable (for some of the same reasons!) I would like to express our sincere sympathies to the Hazlett Families, on behalf of the Robert "R.J." Hildebrand Family.

CHIEF HAZLETT --- I HAVE MANY FOND MEMORIES OF WORKING WITH YOU.
THIS CHIEF GAVE ME THE CHANCE TO BECOME THE FIRST FEMALE OFFICER ON THE ROAD WITH OUR DEPARTMENT.
THERE WERE SEVERAL "JOKES" THAT I HELPED PULL ON YOU, THE MOST FAMOUS WAS THE DUD GRENADE. I WAS TALKED INTO TOSSING IT AT YOU, CAPT. SCOTT AND LT. GOLDNER. YOU GUYS HAD TO TAKE A DIVE FOR COVER. WE ALL LAUGHED ABOUT THIS YEARS LATER. ALL OF YOU ARE GONE NOW AND I MISS YOU.
IN RECENT YEARS I HAVE ENJOYED MANY PHONE CALLS FROM YOU SHOWING CONCERN ABOUT ALL OF US.
GOD BLESS YOU.

UNCLE JIM:
YOU WILL BE GREATLY MISSED. I KNOW YOU ARE NOT TO HAVE A FAVORITE RELATIVE, BUT, YOU WERE MY FAVORITE UNCLE AND I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU FOR THE LOVE AND KINDNESS YOU GAVE ME. WHEN MY DAD PASSED AWAY, I ALWAYS LOOKED UP TO YOU TO FILL HIS SHOES AND, YOU DID. I REMEMBER MANY CHATS THAT WE HAD OVER THE YEARS. YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART, UNCLE JIM AND BEFORE WE WOULD HANG UP THE PHONE FROM TALKING TO EACH OTHER, WE WOULD ALWAYS SAY "I LOVE YOU", SO, UNCLE JIM, "I LOVE YOU".
YOUR NEICE,
NANCY
