Funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Dale Brown who died at his residence Sunday. Dale was born August 24, 1965 in Salem the son of Edward and Geraldine (Cutting) Brown. Dale lived his entire life in the Canfield area except when he served in the US Navy following graduation from Canfield High School in 1983. While serving in the Navy Dale was stationed on the Eisenhower and Americana Aircraft carriers in the Far East. After his discharge from the Navy Dale returned to the area and worked various jobs while making his home with his parents after surviving a truck- train accident in 1989.

While going through much rehab, Dale always had a smile on his face and was very outgoing. Dale never met a stranger. Dale will be sadly missed by his parents Ed and Gerri who took care of him after the accident.

Dale was a member of Canfield Christian Church which was very special to him, former member of Canfield Rhythm Riders 4H. He enjoyed horses, after overcoming injuries from the accident he was an accomplished rider in the handicapped riding program. Dale also had a love for playing guitar and a love of Wolves and was a member of" Defenders of Wild Life". Dale loved camping at the Canfield Fair and in the Alleghany Mountains and loved riding his scooters everywhere he could. Dale graduated from Canfield High School and the Mahoning County Vocational School then spent 41/2 years in the Navy. Dale was also a loyal fan of the Cleveland Indians and Browns win or lose.

Dale is survived by his parents with whom he made his home, Sister Lynne (Guy) Fredo of Salem, Brothers; Thomas (Laura) Brown of Youngstown, Steven (Theresa) Brown of Canfield and several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews.

Please remember Dale as a loving, caring and happy person even after all he endured in life.

Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services Wednesday morning. The family requests that memorial contributions take the form of donations to Canfield Christian Church in Dale's memory.
